From time to time customers forget to pick up their clothes from DELIA'S Cleaners. This usually happens when customers go on vacation or business trips. They also forget when they have guests visiting or when they are celebrating special occasions like weddings and graduations.

When we have clothes that customers forget temporarily, our sales associates will reach out to the customer by telephone and email to remind them that their clothes are clean, ready and waiting. The associates call and send emails after 30, 60, 90 and 120 days.

For most customers, one or two reminders are all they need. However, that is not always the case. Clothes that are left for more than 30 days are placed in a special area of each store. This makes them easier for associates to find when customers do come in to pick them up.

If You Forget Your Clothes

After about six months, any clothes that have not been picked up are moved to the DELIA'S Cleaners central plant. We   put these garments safely in storage. After one to two years, if the clothes still have not been picked up, we donate them. We provide clothes to local homeless shelters that are working to help people in our community get back to work and find permanent housing.

These numbers are averages. We always try to keep clothes as long as possible and as long as we have room.
