Phoenix-area residents live for this time of year! And we've earned it after months of triple-digit temperatures. Along with the great weather and the festive Thanksgiving season comes plenty of visitors, family and friends.

So, while entertaining your guests this holiday, peek at these fun activities coming up!

Turkey Day 'Trots' (Nov. 28) The Valley hosts a handful of 5Ks on Turkey Day, including the Phoenix Turkey Trot. Runners, walkers and spectators can join in this family-friendly pre-feast event at Wesley Bolin Plaza in downtown Phoenix. There's even a "tot trot" for the kids, and costume contests. Our East Valley Tide Cleaners AZ guests will want to head to Red Mountain District Park for the Mesa Turkey Trot, featuring 1-mile, 5K and 10K runs with medals and awards for winners of the 5K and 10K in various age brackets.

Hamilton Aquatic Center Turkey Swim (Nov. 28, 5:30 to 7:30 a.m.) Donate a can of food in exchange for free laps that are just a stone's throw away from our Tide Cleaners AZ Alma School Road store. You'll find a heated pool and plenty of cheer, and all the canned food will be donated to Chandler's Harvest Compassion Center.

Holiday Lights (Starting Nov. 28!) Starting Thanksgiving evening, visit the Phoenix Zoo for its annual ZooLights spectacular. With millions of bulbs lighting the paths, this "Glow Wild" themed event is a hit. Additionally, just around the corner from our five North Scottsdale Tide Cleaners AZ locations, visit Christmas at the (Fairmont Scottsdale) Princess. It is now in its 9th year of ushering in Christmas starting on Thanksgiving night with ice skating, light shows, Santa and S'mores. Or, go on a home tour of the Valley's Christmas light displays, some of which are truly magical.

Also, be sure to stop by Market Street at DC Ranch for its annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Cocoa Stroll on Thursday, December 5 at 5:30 to 8 p.m. Our Tide Cleaners location (20875 N Pima Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85255) on Market Street will be joining in on the festivities that evening, so be sure to stop by with the kiddos!

Hiking (Any day!) To work off that Thanksgiving feast, go for a hike and bring the whole family! This season's weather in Phoenix is ideal for hiking all around the Valley and every Tide Cleaners AZ location boasts a nearby trail that is rated anywhere from "easiest" to "extremely difficult." Locals tend to favor Camelback Mountain, South Mountain and Piestewa Peak-Dreamy Draw trails, but there are plenty more all over the Valley from which to choose. Some tips: While it's "cooler" out still bring plenty of water, stay on the trail, and be sure to accompany your guests on the hike or at least know their specific location. If you feel like traveling out of town for a day hike, check out the hiking trails Arizona State Parks have to offer.
