Penny the Pod is the newest member of the Tide Cleaners AZ team and she is, quite literally, the vehicle for Tide Cleaners' Community Relations Plan. We've been hard at work making plans to show our support for Greater Phoenix-area communities where Tide Cleaners customers live, work and play. As a result, each month you can find Penny the Pod and our Street Team out and about supporting the community and even making surprise appearances to brighten your day while you're knocking out that errand list.
Penny the Pod drove into action in July where she made her first appearance in the Scottsdale Fiesta Shopping Mall. Penny surprised busy Saturday shoppers with snacks, ice-cold water (refreshing on what was a very warm summer afternoon!) and savings coupons for their next trip to Tide Cleaners. Many visitors signed up to join Tide Cleaners' Inner Circle Rewards program and received a personalized garment bag on-site!
Next stop, Cave Creek! Penny and the gang took their show on the road to Cave Creek Youth Football's first night of conditioning camp on July 22, where they visited moms, dads and younger siblings waiting out their athlete's first practice. Tide Cleaners is an official sponsor of Cave Creek Football this season, meaning there are more #TeamPenny sightings in store for Cave Creek later this fall.
To beat the heat and kick off August with a splash, Penny drove on over to the Eldorado Aquatic Center on August 3 for the City of Scottsdale's Safety Luau. Tide Cleaners was thrilled to be the title sponsor of this year's event to promote water safety. After the hula-dancing lessons, the Scottsdale Fire Department showed guests how important it is to stay safe and alert when you're enjoying a day at the pool. As much as Penny wanted to take a dip in the local pool, she lounged poolside where lots of kiddos took cute pics with her!
